Happy Birthday, Hank Williams (Terry Bradshaw Would Approve)
Features, News, Video — By ATF on September 17, 2010 10:25 pmHank Williams (September 17, 1923 – January 1, 1953), born Hiram King Williams, was an American singer-songwriter and musician regarded as among the greatest country music stars of all time. He charted eleven number one songs between 1948 and 1953, though unable to read or write music to any significant degree. He was 29 when he died — 29! Can you believe it?! He’s influenced all the greats, and even The Young Fresh Fellows gave a tip o’ the cap to Hank in their morbidly hilarious 1987 tune “Hank, Karen and Elvis.”
Happy Birthday, Hank! Enjoy this classic Hank Williams video, and then check out Pittsburgh Steeler great Terry Bradshaw lipsynching his own version of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” It’s a hoot!
